Many Symphony SMS clients derive significant benefits from the use of Symphony SMS’ Call Accounting Services.
In addition to providing information related to calling numbers, numbers called, dates and times of calls, call duration, calling patterns, etc., this service provides invaluable data that can be used for chargeback or cost allocation, fraud detection, and other security purposes. If desired, Symphony SMS will collect call detail data directly from switches using call collection devices.
Alternatively, if the data is collected by the vendor, as is done in a Centrex environment, the call detail data can be transferred to Symphony SMS via FTP or other electronic means, for further processing. Once Symphony SMS has the data, the calls can be costed by a variety of client-defined algorithms.
The costed call data can then be returned to the client for further processing or can be retained by Symphony SMS for additional processing and display as described under Billing / Chargeback / Cost Allocation Services.
